Encouragement for Every Mama
Baby’s screaming because he’s hungry and tired. Toddler just spilled juice everywhere and is throwing a fit because he can’t find his favorite tractor. You can’t get to either of them without stepping on a toy car or teether. Everyone else is asking where dinner is because it’s 5:30 and you haven’t even pulled anything out the freezer yet. Yep! Been there, Mama! That’s why I wanted to share these 25 bible verses for the tired toddler mom with you.
When you have babies, no one explains the amount of exhaustion you will feel at times. Mentally – physically – emotionally – spiritually. It’s hard to keep your spiritual disciplines when you always feel like you’re in survival mode, I know. It’s easy to get in a rut and start losing your joy – no matter how much you love motherhood. But God has another plan for you. He’s asked you to live a life of peace; to find rest in Him.
How Bible Verses for the Tired Toddler Mom Changes Things
I see you, Mama. Lost in the sleepless nights and chaotic days with your little ones. But I can tell you from experience that NOT carving out time for yourself to be in the word (even if only 5 minutes a day) can AND WILL take its toll on you and make you feel even more lost and chaotic. Glenna puts it perfectly when she says, “When your reserves feel empty, when your patience is thin, when you can barely stay awake, saturating yourself with Scripture is survival.”
Scripture Gives You Hope
God tells us that “whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4
The Bible is full of stories for you to learn from, to see how others handled situations and always made it through the toughest days with God by their side. Take heart in this, Mama.
Scripture Gives You Inspiration
Not only can you learn from these stories and God’s promises, but you can be inspired! Seeing how David, Moses, Elijah, Esther and MANY more always come out on top can inspire the most worn-out Mama.
Terrible two’s coming? 4-month sleep regression here? Life in general busy and you feel like you’re being trampled over every day? I see you. God sees you too. And He wants to inspire you. Inspire you to stand tall and strong, to love like Jesus did, to keep your faith in Him because He will pull you all the way to the top, Mama! Yoga pants, messy bun and all!
Scripture Reminds You Who (and Whose) You are
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8:37
Never forget WHO you are, Mama. You are a child of the Most High God and He created you for good works. Nurturing, loving, teaching, disciplining. These are your good works right now in this season of life. If ever you forget, like when your toddler yells at everything you do or say or when your infant is crying inconsolably for who knows what reason, just get in the Word and He will remind you how great you are – even when you might not feel it.
